TEMPO - Kalle Nio / Fernando Melo
8.10.2026 Thursday 19:00 - Ursynowskie Centrum Kultury "Alternatywy" - Szekspir Stage
Duration of the show 70 min. Audience 12+
A performance balancing on the border between pantomime, dance, theatre, acrobatics and illusion. "Tempo" is an extraordinary story about time — its acceleration, its slowing down, and those moments when it seems to stop completely. Its starting point is an ordinary event, which on stage transforms into a fascinating journey through a reality where gravity no longer applies and the laws of nature are suspended.
Finnish director and visual artist Kalle Nio, known for combining visual theatre, experimental film, contemporary circus and the new art of magic, together with Brazilian choreographer Fernando Melo, creates a hypnotic performance in which movement, magic and music intertwine in a poetic reflection on the fragility of life and the extraordinary elasticity of time.
The performers: Barbara Kanc, Winston Reynolds and Luigi Sardone, move across the stage, crossing the boundaries of what seems possible. Dreamlike, wordless stage images, rhythmic compositions for prepared metronomes, and a subtle voice-over text by Harry Salmenniemi create a performance that is visually captivating and invites the audience to pause for a moment. "Tempo" invites viewers to experience the present moment and to look at time from an entirely new perspective.
