HOW TO APPLY

Festival Applications

The most effective way to submit a performance for our festival program is to send us a description of the production together with a link to the full version of the performance. If the production is already part of a repertoire and publicly presented, it is also helpful to include information about where it can be seen live.

What kind of performances are we interested in?

We are interested in all forms of mime theatre. It does not matter to us from which school of mime or visual theatre a particular production originates. What is important, however, is that the performance fulfills the fundamental principles of the craft of mime and therefore remains a nonverbal work. The absence of spoken language is an essential element for us.

As demonstrated by 25 years of festival presentations, the festival also remains open to works combining different forms of movement art and visual theatre, such as mask theatre, dance theatre, contemporary circus, and physical theatre.

We are particularly interested in ensemble productions. However, smaller forms involving two or three performers also appear in our program from time to time. The same applies to solo performances.

Important: artists may submit both full-length performances lasting approximately 60 minutes or longer, as well as individual études — short pieces lasting around 5–10 minutes — from which we compose our annual "Modern Mime Evening".

As the organizer of the festival, the Warsaw Mime Centre Foundation covers artists' fees, transportation, and accommodation costs.

We warmly invite you to submit your applications.

Due to the large number of submissions, we respond only to messages containing links to performances and information about the productions.
