Theatrical Photography Exhibition by Maciej Zakrzewski – Foyer UCK "Alternatywy"

An encounter with the exceptional sensitivity and talent of a photographer who captures the magic of theatre through his lens. The photographs gathered in the exhibition reveal fleeting stage moments, preserved in his distinctive manner: attentive, subtle and deeply perceptive.

At the centre of attention are the worlds of theatre of form and gesture, pantomime, non-verbal expression and silence, captured during festival performances. This is the fourth edition of the exhibition, enriched with photographs from previous editions of the Festival.

Maciej Zakrzewski — photographer, actor, musician and teacher. He is particularly drawn to photographing theatre, dance and broadly understood performative practices. He collaborates with numerous theatres and cultural institutions throughout Poland. He is a recipient of the Głos Wielkopolski Young Art Medal 2018, a five-time finalist and laureate of the Theatre Photography Competition organised by the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute in Warsaw. He has also served as a member of the international jury of the theatre photography competition in Iran during the Fadjr International Theatre Festival 2018.
