The 25th edition of the International Mime Art Festival is now behind us. From 8 to 12 October, we took you on a journey through the extraordinary diversity of contemporary mime theatre in Europe.

The original poetics, humour, surprising sensitivity and emotional depth of the creators and performers once again showed that mime escapes simple definitions. This year's anniversary edition became the best example of that. Over the course of five days, we invited you to 9 performances, including three premieres, as well as two exhibitions, four master workshops, and an international meeting devoted to the art of mime in the contemporary world.

We hosted artists well known to Polish audiences, as well as those who came to Poland for the first time. We encountered various forms of wordless storytelling, visual theatre, physical theatre, pantomime, and the art of mime. Comedy, drama, and the poetry of the body.

Each evening was different, because it is precisely in the diversity of this craft that its strength lies, transforming itself into art. The Festival was also a space for encounters: with artists, with audiences from other countries, and an opportunity to revisit memories gathered over 25 years of the event's history.

Already now, we are preparing the 26th edition of the International Mime Art Festival, which will take place from 7 to 11 October 2026. We hope to meet you there, during another series of days filled with theatre, movement, emotion, and the art beyond words.

The Festival is organised by the Foundation of the Warsaw Centre of Pantomime, while the presentation venue and co organiser of this theatrical celebration is Ursynów Cultural Centre "Alternatywy".
