"Hinterland" 11.10.2024 Friday 19.30 - Ursynowskie Centrum Kultury "Alternatywy" - Szekspir stage.

First time in Poland. Duration 60 minut.

Two men and a live radio in a dressing room. They meet face to face, provoking, competing, and seducing each other. What emerges is a surprising blend of dance, sport, and sensuality. This performance, based entirely on the language of the body, explores the boundaries of movement and its meanings. At the same time, it is both a provocation and an invitation to laugh at ourselves, while also reflecting on the fullness of our humanity.

Un Poyo Rojo combines acrobatics and humor – from lightness and naivety, through kitsch, to playful engagement with stereotypes. It is a showcase of the enormous possibilities of the human body and imagination, and a high-energy theatre that leaves no audience indifferent.

Company history

Un Poyo Rojo was founded in 2008 in Buenos Aires by Luciano Rosso and Nicolás Poggi. Their first duet, combining dance, physical theatre, and humor, quickly attracted the attention of both audiences and critics. Through collaboration with director Hermes Gaido, the performance evolved and gained new life, reaching festivals in Argentina and abroad.

In 2010, the company began its international career – performing in Spain as part of the Network of Alternative Theatres, and in subsequent years touring across Latin America and Europe. They have appeared at the Rond Point in Paris, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and at prestigious festivals in France, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Spain, and Switzerland.

Thanks to their universal language, combining acrobatics, dance, and comedy, Un Poyo Rojo has become one of the most frequently invited physical theatre ensembles in the world, regularly appearing both on major stages and in festival venues.
